Just ask any Bajan about pone and you are sure to be regaled with a childhood memory. Pone is a sweet treat, it is not a pudding, not a cake, but something somewhere in between. Pones are usually made from root vegetables. You can also make them with carrots, sweet potatoes and pumpkin. In Barbados the traditional pone is the Cassava Pone and is enjoyed by the young and old alike.
